ICAT Names Peter Opinante Vice President of Commercial Underwriting
Broomfield, Colorado (July 17, 2017) – ICAT is pleased to announce that it has named Peter Opinante as their Vice President of Commercial Underwriting. Opinante will have responsibility for technical underwriting, strategic product development and building external carrier relationships that supplement ICAT’s core offering.
Pete is an accomplished industry executive who most recently served as the Vice President of Product Underwriting for Zurich North America, where he was accountable for the property line of business.
Prior to joining Zurich, Pete was Senior Vice President with Swiss Re and was focused on managing the North American property portfolio including the natural catastrophe exposed complex accounts.

We look to have Pete help ICAT expand into more complex underwriting classes,” said Ashleigh Cashman, Senior Vice President at ICAT. “During his career, in addition to being an accomplished fire underwriter and portfolio manager, Pete developed in-depth individual account underwriting skills in all-natural catastrophe perils. Opinante joined the company on July 5, 2017 and reports directly to Cashman. “I’m excited to join ICAT and work with a team committed to delivering cutting edge solutions to customers exposed to natural catastrophes,” said Opinante.
