Pete Opinante Receives IMUA Lifetime Achievement Award
Broomfield, CO (May 23, 2018)- ICAT Vice President of Commercial Underwriting, Pete Opinante, received the prestigious Inland Marine Underwriters Association (IMUA) Lifetime Achievement Award. Pete was recognized for his notable contributions to the IMUA underwriting community since 1994.
Pete has played a crucial role in shaping the direction and growth of the association. Pete was selected to serve on the IMUA national board of directors in 1998, and in 2008, was elected as Vice Chair of the Board of Directors. In 2011, Pete’s leadership was instrumental in recruiting a new President and CEO for IMUA.

Pete joined ICAT in July of 2017 and has been instrumental in refining ICAT’s strategic product development and building strong carrier relationships externally to further enhance and expand ICAT’s footprint.
Before ICAT, Pete served as Vice President of Product Underwriting for Zurich North America, where he was accountable for the property line of business. And prior to joining Zurich, Pete was Senior Vice President with Swiss Re focused on managing the North American property portfolio, including complex catastrophe-exposed accounts.
